About Joe Cosgrove Pentec Health

Joe Cosgrove leads Pentec Health, Inc., as its president and CEO, as well as chair of its board of directors. He began with the company, a regional provider of infusion services to patients outside a hospital setting, in 2008. Cosgrove steered Pentec Health, Inc., into record profitability by re-orienting its focus to the national and international markets and broadening its product offering.

Prior to taking over Pentec’s leadership, Cosgrove spent nearly 20 years in related positions. He started as a general sales consultant for a nationwide pharmaceutical and healthcare services distributor in New Jersey, quickly rising to become its director of pharmaceutical marketing and purchasing. He next moved to DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company, where he served as senior director for national account sales and marketing.

Cosgrove joined the leadership team of Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health, Inc., in 2001. He quickly became a vice president and general manager, first for nuclear pharmacy services and then for global pharmaceutical services. By the time he accepted Pentec’s offer, Cosgrove had developed a successful track record as a team leader and an expert business strategist. He turned the company from a small regional operation into the nation’s largest privately held specialty infusion services provider, increasing sales revenue by 500 percent and profitability by 400 percent. In the process, the company’s headcount increased from 32 more than 350 full-time employees. In addition, for the third consecutive year, the firm was selected as one of Pennsylvania’s best places to work in 2013.
